LIFE GROUPS

A Life Group is a small group ( in-person, virtual, or mixed) that has a strong relational/social focus and a Bible study based on the group members’ life needs.

A Life Group’s weekly meeting has three parts: Social, life-needs Bible Study, and Bonding & Prayer.

Below are links to three hours of training videos, plus the training workbook and how-to articles in .pdf. Milton Adams calls them GrouthGroups and are outreach-oriented.

1. Introductory Principles (41 min) – Module 1

3. Meeting Agenda, Bible Study (40 min) – Module 3

4. Co-Leaders, Invitations, Demonstration (57 min) – Module 4

MICRO-GROUPS

A micro-group is a simple disciple-making group of three people, designed to introduce one person to the Gospel of Christ (+1) and to create exponential growth, similar to the first-century Christianity.

A micro-group is as simple as reading the Gospel in a group of three. It has two rhythms: daily individual reading of one chapter from the Gospel, and weekly meetings of the three (face-to-face or virtual) for 30 – 90 minutes.

The goal is to learn to see God at work, hear His voice, understand His ways, follow Him, and continually ask, “What is Jesus saying to me through His Scripture?” and “What am I going to do about it?”

The rest of the story is in God’s hands, because the Gospel “is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom 1:16) and the Holy Spirit is the teacher.

RELATIONAL EVANGELISM

Relational Evangelism is a four-hour seminar presented by Pastor Gabriel for the Illinois Conference Lay Training in 2019.

Here are the four topics covered in this presentation (plus Relational Bible Studies as an extra bonus):

1.   Connecting with people in real-life situations and building trust until they invite us to be part of their lives

2.   Creating a personal testimony and learning how to present it to various audiences

3.   Assessing one’s readiness for the gospel, leading a person to Christ, giving the gospel presentation, and the prayer of F.A.I.T.H.

4.   Relational discipleship timeline, incorporating relational evangelism, small groups, Bible studies, spiritual growth, and discipleship training.
